You know it’s August when the fields of sunflowers are in full bloom, illuminating the world as you pass. There are a couple of fields of these beauties in the area and I never tire of them. Every year, I find myself slowing down and taking a deep breath as I pass this golden vision. It makes you feel like you’re in the South of France on one of those trips of a lifetime. Luckily, this doesn’t require a passport.
