Here’s an update on the trails in Burnett County from the folks at Burnett County Forest and Parks.
Burnett County Winter Trails are currently open – however, conditions are changing! The majority of the trails are in good condition. Grooming on the trails is minimal right now due to the warmer temperatures. Snowmobiles will find very poor conditions, encountering dirt in areas, on trail 151 between the St. Croix Trail and Big Hill Road. Conditions are still ok in this area for ATVs. Watch for icy and slushy spots throughout the county. We may be sending updates often in the next few weeks as the winter riding season comes to an end.
Some township ordinances allow for ATV/UTV use of the town roads and others do NOT allow it. It is the rider’s responsibility to contact the township in which you plan to ride in and get the current rules pertaining to ATVs/UTVs and the town roads. Please contact the individual townships for their rules and regulations.
