The Trails are Open in Burnett County!

This just in from Burnett County Forest and Parks…

Burnett County Winter Trails are currently OPEN with the exception of Trail 150 west of the Gandy Dancer Trail to Trail 119. This portion of the trail is closed due to crops still standing.

We have 6-14″ of snow throughout the county. Not all trails are groomed yet, but groomers are working as quickly as possible.

Please use caution over lakes and swamps as they are not all frozen yet and you could find slush and wet spots.

When trails are open, you may ride your ATV/UTV on state-funded Winter Use ATV Trails. Winter-use ATV trails in Burnett County are marked with blue blazers. Snowmobile trails are marked with orange blazers.

All snowmobiles, ATVs and UTVs must be registered or licensed in order to ride.

Caution: Groomers and trail maintenance vehicles may be on the trails at any time.

NO OFF TRAIL USE IS ALLOWED

Some township ordinances allow for ATV/UTV use of the town roads and others do NOT allow it.  It is the rider’s responsibility to contact the township in which you plan to ride in and get the current rules pertaining to ATVs/UTVs and the town roads.  Please contact the individual townships for their rules and regulations.
