Yellow River Folk Music Festival

After a successful first year, the Burnett County Historical Society is offering the Second Annual Yellow River Folk Music Festival at Forts Folle Avoine Historical Park on Saturday, June 28th. It’s a full day of entertainment featuring continuous music all day on three stages, as well as food and beverages, artisans and crafters and historic tours. The Northwoods setting at the Fort is the perfect setting to showcase this great event!

Many performing artists are scheduled to appear including the Grammy-Award winning Okee Dokee Brothers! Also new this year is the Americana Songwriters Stage – a great venue for up and coming songwriters of all levels to perform their original music. As a part of this Stage, songwriter Charlie Roth will present a 1 hour seminar on lyric writing, composition and recording techniques.

They will continue to announce additions to the line-up of performers on their website at http://theforts.org/?110490  and are currently taking applications for vendors for the day. Tickets can be purchased at a discount online until June 1, 2014. ~ Wanda Boldon
