Fall Canoe Trip on the Yellow River

Mother Nature gave us a gorgeous day to enjoy the Fall colors on the Yellow River, so we collected a couple of friends to go for a paddle.

We dropped our canoes in the River, just as it leaves Little Yellow Lake and paddled with the current in our favor to the bridge at Glendening Road. Along the way we saw plenty of wildlife amidst the glow of changing leaves that were reflected in the water for a doubly good effect.

We also saw people fishing and others just out pleasure boating. Every person we passed had the same look on their face that said, “I can’t believe it’s 80 degrees and sunny on September 26th and I get to be on the water. I’m the luckiest person alive!” I know, because that’s exactly how I felt! – Wanda Boldon
