Our friends, Chuck and Gail had this old gal laying eggs right in the middle of their driveway. Now, the trick is to figure out how to come and go without disturbing the nest!

If we keep our eye on the weather, we’ll know what color to buy for the baby shower. Apparently, the sex of a snapping turtle is determined by the air temperature. The eggs tend to incubate best in 80 degree temperatures, but eggs hatched in cooler temperatures tend to produce males and warmer temperatures produce females. It takes about 80-90 days for the eggs to hatch, so we’ll see what happens! – Wanda Boldon
